Martin Barber, MASE
Martin Barber, ExpertOne Master ASE, Somerville Group Australia, is making it matter by improving the academic experience for high school students with a unique BYOD service model. In Australia, technology solutions for high school students were previously funded and deployed with government resources. Today, high schools in the region must fund and manage their own networks, putting pressure on their vendor partners to provide innovative service models that reduce costs while providing flexibility to students. For one local high school, Martin and his team deployed iPads and other devices for their 1,000 students. Martin’s team then created a unique service model tailored for each student and teacher‘s individual needs. Built on HP Converged Infrastructure and HP networking equipment, including HP MSM Wireless and HP Intelligent Management Center Software, the solution has significantly decreased IT costs and inefficiencies for Somerville Group and for the high school.
