Active certifications = Valid and available

Active certifications are current, valid and achievable now.

Inactive certifications = Valid, but no longer available

Inactive certifications cannot be achieved after the inactive date. If you are working toward a certification with an inactive date, you should complete all the requirements before the inactive date or consider moving to the newer version. Holders of inactive certifications will continue to receive program benefits.
